Olga - Now Is The Time
Olga... This Austrian beauty may have been raised in San Francisco, but her heart and soul as well as her music are steeped in the spirit of the Deep South!

Now Is The Time is a fulfilling musical treat of down home cookin' from start to finish, chock full of interesting twists and surprisingly diverse styles and sounds.

"Now Is The Time" drew me in with a taste of the wild west and the seductive sound of the recorder.  Despite the serious context of the lyrics of "Your Love Don't Work Like Mine", I found myself wanting to get up and dance the two-step with a playful and seductive flare.  Olga's sultry vocals on "Weary" are reminiscent of Alannah Myles, and coupled with a rock-steady beat, I just wanted to stay out there on the dance floor.  "Ain't It A Shame" brought me back to my Tennessee roots with Olga's gorgeous violin playing the sound of the mandolin (courtesy of her husband, Jimbo).  So moody and melancholy!  "What's The Matter With The Mill" is sure to bring a smile to face of any good ole boy, and certainly Johnny and June would approve.  Olga's vocals on "Can You Forgive Me" are a beautiful duo with the steel guitar and "Fool" has a hint of jazz, bringing home a reminder of just how talented and versatile Olga truly is as a singer and a songwriter!  Olga ends her beautifully crafted album with a finger-lickin' good, finger-pickin' version of "Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad".

Olga has her own refreshingly unique sound, while still reminiscent of her influences (Jessie Mae Hemphill, Memphis Minnie and Peggy Lee to name a few).  She's also been compared to Bonnie Raitt.  The musicians on this album are exceptional with equal versatility, most playing multiple instruments.

Olga recently played at the world famous Green Parrot in Key West and is heading over to Italy in a matter of days!

Check out her website for more calendar dates, her latest video and booking information.

Singer-songwriter, Gypsy creates a unique sound of folk, pop and rock stemming from her rich musical upbringing of Americana roots music.  Gypsy’s songs channel her deep life experiences through poetic lyrics and lilting, beautiful vocals. Growing up in a musical family, Gypsy wrote her first song at the age of five after hearing many of Mom and Dad's living room "jam sessions" with the likes of Tag Lambert (lead guitarist for Bob Wills), and others.  Gypsy was inspired to pursue the life of a musical artist after hearing her Mom’s recordings on the local country stations in Arizona.  Also, Gypsy’s uncle Don Rollins wrote the smash hit, "The Race Is On" recorded by George Jones, Ricky Nelson and The Grateful Dead. Writing is in her blood and deep in her heart.
