I have some news!

The #1 diet site on the Internet has approached me to write a column!  Thanks for launching me on June 9th, diet.com.

Diet.com continues to come up #1 every day on Google.  In fact, the 2nd site is eDiets.com, where I’ve written a column for 2 years, and the 3rd is WebMD.com, where I’ve been a quoted expert for most of their weight management articles recently.

WOW!  A toast to me!

After picking myself off the floor, I figured this might be pretty marketable.  Next step was pitching an agent for a book to help parents help kids to manage weight and body image issues.  Lo and behold, a very important agent is interested!  She loved me, my idea, and my “platform,” but hated the proposal.

In fact, she was 100% right.  After spending the past few years pouring over research, and trying to understand weight management issues, my work looked more like a term paper than a “pop” book.  She said, “It’s too doctorly.  Gimme the next Skinny Bitch!”

I thought, hmmm, I wrote a Goddess Queen column on just that topic.  I can do this; she’s right!  So I took a deep breath, and re-wrote the first four chapters, by dumbing it down and lightening it up.  The agent expects to read it this weekend, and hopefully she’ll love it!

Anyway, it seems like June is filled with possibilities, and in honor of Father’s Day, I’d like to thank my Dad for shootin’ his seed into Mom that special night.  I’m excited to be alive!
