Morgana's Extreme Makeover
By Morgana Rae

Do you remember growing up and having "growth spurts?" I mostly remember the aches and pains of bones growing faster than the container in which they were housed. And, the itchy skin, stretching to catch up. Nice image, huh?
I am going through a growth spurt, and I have been itching for a bigger container.
First off, I noticed that my on-camera clothing choices have been mostly tragic. The last video I shot made me look like a pregnant linebacker. I am smaller than that. Really.
At the insistence of many kind and concerned friends, I hired a consultant and got rid of almost ALL of my clothes. What is left could fill up to three suitcases, depending on whether I include the down coat.
Everyone should do this: what if you only kept the best of everything and let go of anything less? How much more room would you have in your life? The stuff we hold on to can feel so oppressive. It weighs us down.
Years ago, I had a friend who lost everything she owned in a house fire. Decades and decades of beautiful stuff. And she was happy. She told me how good it felt to let it go, to be free of all those possessions.
I prefer to choose when I let things go, but I understand what she was saying about the lightness of less stuff.
The hair's next to go. This is scarier! I have not picked out the do--to pixie or not to pixie, that is the question. I fear I will look like a boy with breasts. (Check photo to see what happened the LAST time someone gave me a pixie haircut.) I guess you will have to wait to see what I choose and if the hair stylist survives.
While we're at it, I'm giving my website, e-zine, products, and business a big makeover too. Let's just stir it ALL up!
This itch for change may be coming from the launch of the Financial Alchemy Training Program. Our initial intensive weekend surpassed my dreams. The coaches are amazing! This is a bigger game than I've ever played before, and it's shifting everything else.
Sometimes those things that worked so well for so long become intolerably tight and crowded. They don't fit anymore. It's time for something new.
